1995 calibra turbo

Postby 281 Iain T » 19 Aug 2015, 21:10

Hi, due to a change in project I have a 1995 calibra turbo for sale. I've owned the car since June 2012 and rego has been on hold since August 2012. Car can be viewed in ashburton , contact Iain for details on 027 857 9797,tex me and I will send photos. I wanted to give the forum the first offer on the car. Engine is perfect and has a lot of money spent on it, clutch is new, uprated intercooler, jay pipe, new angel eyes , x2 replacement wings, boot, quarter windows, x2 doors, cons ... Transfer box is leaking but is still 4x4, I also have a 2wd conversion kit from UK,I also have a full 8 valve interior, latest problem and my last straw ,sunroof opened and is now jammed open, can be manually closed but fixing kit is expensive.I love opels but and I don't want to piss anyone off but if I have no interest in my calibra the engine will be removed and my the car will be scrapped. Good project for someone , straight chassis, needs new front break pads, intercooler certification and 1 exhaust bolt for warrent as is. I hate to do this but for me my heart just isn't in this project, I bought this car in Henderson Auckland and drove it to ashburton,South Island, she didn't miss a beat on the journey. Car isn't road legal but can be test driven in Fulton hogan quarry/2 ks away. I'l be honest about car.$ 2500,car and extra parts included. if car doesn't sell I will sell angel eyes /spares etc.

Were circumstances different, I'd be delighted to take it off your hands - and bring it back to Henderson 8)

Hi, I've spent a lot on this car, time and money and I know this is what what Opel lovers do but everytime I remove something plastic it breaks, the more I fix it , it just seems something else goes wrong and instead of being happy to spend all weekend in the garage with her has turned into sitting looking her and not knowing how much more I can do if I'm honest. The engine is perfect and I bought a 8valve calibra and stripped it for parts because the engine was fucked if I'm honest after the water pump failed. This is a nice car and maybe someone could buy it and start a new project with a better attitude and I don't want to remove the engine and take the shell to metal corp but I've made my decision. I payed 4200$ for the car.I'm a Scotsman living in New Zealand and the drive from Auckland to ashburton was amazing, I'd pay that again to drive a calibra turbo across New Zealand.

I really like this sentence.

Best of luck with the sale, hopefully a fellow Opel nut like Derek will pick it up.

I think I would end up in the divorce courts if I took another car home Brad, but cheers for the smiles you gave me thinking about it

Would quite like to have time to actually drive a car instead of just fixing them :?

Hi, my calibra was sold tonight to Michael Anderson a forum member. I'd never seen anyone else driving my car but I had lost interest in the project and it's gone to a good home. Nice guy and I hope he can do what I never could with her, she's a nice car just needs abit of love. Good luck mate, keep in touch.
