The forum was set up primarily for owners of classic Opel and Vauxhalls primarily from the late 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s however, the demand for more modern cars has meant the Forum now also includes models up to the current day. Some owners are just as enthusiastic about their late model cars as others are of their classic models. For the same reason, there is now a section for pre-1960s vehicles.

1960-2010 includes:
    all Opel Monza/Vauxhall Royale Coupe
all Opel/Vauxhall Senator and Royale Saloon
all Opel Omega A and B
all Opel Commodore A, B and C and all Opel Rekord A-E
all Opel Manta A and B, including Ascona A and B
all Opel Ascona C/Holden Vectra A and B
    all Opel/Holden Calibra
    all Opel Kadett/Vauxhall Chevette, Astra,
    all Opel GT, Tigra, VX220
and any Holden VB/VC/VH/VK Commodore are also welcome since these are based on the "V" cars' design and styling from the Opel design team.
This forum is intended for owners and enthusiasts of Opel, Vauxhall and equivalent Holden cars to get together to discuss and exchange information, technical help and advice with each other. Enthusiasts from other countries are also welcome! We ask that you take the time to introduce yourself and your eligible car(s), and contribute to threads where you have a particular interest. New membership accounts that are not logged into within three months will be deleted. Membership accounts that are left untouched for more than 12 months will be deactivated, requiring you to make contact with the Admin team to reactivate.

The forum is moderated, and posts which contain inappropriate language or which are unfit for reading will be removed without notice by the moderators.

Some parts of the Forum are open to general viewing, but access to the remainder of the OpelForum will be by membership registration only, so please use your own names, rather than hiding behind invented names. It is better to know who you are sharing info with, and also makes the Opel experience more personal when we can meet up at car events and know who people are from their Christian (first) names. It is also easier to identify timewasters who only sign up to advertise cr*p on the forum!

Sign up with your full name (if you invent a username as it will only delay your application) and choose a password, then the Admin team will reply with your Forum user name consisting of a number and your first name. This should be all that is necessary. Any problems, check out the ?FAQ at the top of the page, or email me.

To all those timewasters (you know who you are!) signing up just to advertise pornography, pharmacy/ drug supplies and anything else which has nothing to do with the objectives of this forum - YOU WILL BE DELETED AND YOUR APPLICATIONS BLOCKED! GET A LIFE SOMEWHERE ELSE!

... and the Forum has now been expanded to cover all early Opels, pre-70s, and post-2000 models of the Opel/Vauxhall/euro-Holden models.

It has come to our attention that some members have not logged on to their accounts for between 12 - 24 months. Some have not even taken the time to introduce themselves here.

To make the membership listing more genuine, and also reduce the size of the backup files, an automated de-activation of unused accounts will take place of all accounts which are not accessed for more than 12 months.

If I am not requested to reactivate them within a further 3 months, then the accounts will be deleted.

We recognise that the OpelForum can not suit everyone, particularly overseas members, but hope that NZ members in particular are interested to keep a presence on the Forum.

I have blocked registrations today due to the number of spam applications I am having to process, from some cretin who has nothing better to do.

If you are interested, you can look at our FB page https://www.facebook.com/groups/OpelForumNZ/, and request membership of website and FB page too.
