powder coat or paint?

looking for anyones take on whether to powder coat or paint alloy the alloy wheels on my Manta
I have heard positives and negatives on powder coating alloys, whats your opinions and I am confused

Powder coating is quite easy and cheap and gives a good finish, but I think painting is more durable. I've powder coated a set of wheels and painted several and the powder coating was flaking off after only months. Not sure if I would powder coat anything again to be honest People say if you get it to the right temperature including the base material it will form a very good bond and that mine were up to the correct temp, but to me if it's this hard to get right and difficult to tell if you have done it right, it's not really worth it.

Added to above, powder coated BBQ's are shit and we just bought an expensive powder coated alloy lawnmower that again, is already starting to lose the coating after only months.

Paint would also be easier to touch up.

dropped off my pile of parts to the powder coaters today, minus the Ronal alloys
will be interesting to see how these all turn out
