Sadly, I dont think the DTM Omega did any good in the DTM? Does anyone know why? Lack of budget?

There is a little bit of info around it on here. I think it was Sean (?) from the UK who knew quite a bit about its background. From what I understand it was a larger, heavy semi-luxury type car that was relatively mildly modified for the DTM (Opel Omega EVO 500) and was up against the likes of the BMW M3 and the Mercedes Benz EV0, which were much more focussed and more agile cars. I'm sure BMW/Merc would have had more backing too, not to mention far more teams running them, which in turn means support.

Theres a little bit of information on the Omega DTM cars out there but basically I thinkt hey realised it wasn't a competitive package quite early on and went to the Calibra after a couple of years. Correct me if I'm wrong, just recalling information from a thread/page I read a couple of years back. It's all interesting stuff to discuss anyway.
