Potential for North Island members?

Postby 001 Neville » 27 May 2011, 10:45

Just received from Playdays on Track. I met up with them at Timaru recently, and they seem to be very well organised for track days. Someone up there might be interested to organise attendance - I can send a global email to NI members if wanted....?

NEW STUFF:

1. TAUPO ANNUAL MID WINTER EVENT

2. Hampton Downs Gymkhana challenge

-------------------------------------------------------

HAMPTON DOWNS

SATURDAY 9 JULY DRIFT DAY $150

Pre registration only. No payments on the day.

Maximum 3 groups, 20 cars per group, so let us know what group you want to be in when you make the payment.

Cost $150 includes Driver and 2 pit crew. Spectators $10 Spectators can pay on the day

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TAUPO

SUNDAY 10 JULY TRACK 1 (A1GP TRACK)

NORMAL GROUP $130

PRESTIGE $230

DRIVER TRAINING GROUP (Max 15 Cars) $160

(The Prestige group is limited to 12 cars, no slicks, no race cars, those insured with Prestigio can call them for Trackday Cover)

The driver training group is for anyone that wants to try a track day for the first time in a relaxed, low key , fun & friendly environment. We will run 2 pace cars in the group so you can follow them & learn the best way around the corners, no passing & no tailgating & we will start slowly & gradually increase the speed.

There will be some classroom instruction at the beginning of the day & at lunch time & we will have instructors to sit with you and assist you.

This is also ideal for improving the driving skills of your family members to help make them safer on the roads.

In the afternoon we will give you the choice of going to unlimited speed but you will need a Helmet & 100% cotton or race overalls to do this part. In all previous Training days everyone has elected to go to unrestricted speed in the afternoon.

I regularly attend 'Play day on track' organized events and they are well organized outings.
I'd recommed anyone to get involved and get on the track.

That's good news, Chad! Maybe you'd like to organise a 'club attendance' day up there for members.....? :D

Could invite along the VOS members too?
