I didn't read the article but saw it and thought "that looks like it should be an Astra" and then had a little chuckle at the badge on the rear.

I'd like to see the styling being a little more purposeful if they are going to be putting a Calibra badge on it, as opposed to that of an Astra.

Certainly the size of the car makes it look like it should be an Astra sport model.

If they are wanting to compete with the new VW Scirocco, which is the market segment that the Calibra was occupying before, then there would need to be some changes to dimensions ... and styling!

Haha that's the sound of a true opel lover, do you have a sticker on the back of your car saying "i would rather push my opel than drive your nissan" lol.

I think the new calibra should be a modern take of the original style much like the camaro and mustang, but the chances are it will be a version of the current crop of cars, not that I mind them though. I do like the late model astra's.

Mind you, I have always thought the fight was Opel vs VW? Maybe only in SA? Oh well, never mind. I'm driving a suzuki at the moment... so I guess I don't have much room to talk... Can't wait to get my calibra back... I'll probably have to take out extra insurance to deal with all the whiplash the first test drive is going to cause... LOL...
