Okay, can we have a show of hands for anymore interested in attending the Galaxy of Cars show on 6th Feb?

Going from what is above, I've compiled the following:

Definite
Paul G - Astra VXR
Steve B - Astra
Adrian - Monza

Maybe
Brad - Commodore
Chad ?
Me - unlikely, due to lack of funds :( :( :(

Anymore?

I'll definitely be there in person, but I'll leave the Vectra out of the show this time, not really a show ready vehicle. Last time it got some interest but mostly people just wondering what the hell it is and what is it doing here  .

I'm going to try and make this one, should be a good event.

It's probably not looking too promising though, I have a trip to Hastings, a trip to Whangarei and an unrelated trip to Auckland to do in between now and this date, all probably in the Commodore so I guess I'll just see how we (being me and the car, my gf just sleeps or reads so she'll be fine) are going by this date and make a decision from there.

Also Chad, get that 2000 kit on there and some HKS Livery. Will make it very much a show car and certainly raise a few eyebrows.

That would be fun, but the body kit is blue instead of charcole like my car and the paint is in too much of a mess to put decals on.

Ok so we all ready for sunday?
Can I propose that we meet at the carpark on the left just before MOTAT 2? We met here last time and it was perfect.

Thats a bit early for a run from Hamilton I think. Getting up at 6:00am on a Sunday is against my religion unless I'm being paid lots for it. I'll talk to the missus about staying in AK on Saturday night and report back.

Can anyone post a link for a map for the carpark that we will meet, or even just provide and address I can throw into the GiPS

It's an early start if you're exhibiting a car as the field fills up fast and you want to have space to lay out the cars.

I believe this is the carpark Mark is referring to:

Don't worry about it Steve. I doubt if any of our cars are perfect in one way or another. It is only a show & shine as a club display, so it's not that bad! :)

We have to stay there until 3.30pm after prize giving. Not that we will be winning anything? :(

Oh, so once you are in that's it for the whole day? Gosh. Is there seating, refreshments and shade?

There is grass to sit on or you can bring your own chairs. The club will supply the gazebo and they have hot food & ice creams, drinks etc... around the venue which people can buy. There is bits & pieces of entertainment as well as a swap meet. Motat will have free Tram rides for club people to go back and forth to the old Motat. There are toilets etc... there as well! :D Yes like most car shows it is a long day and you will need to find things to fill in the time, but it doe's go quite quickly. I think last year they had around 700 cars turn up, so i wouldn't miss out on it.
