Got a starter motor problem? These guys can help

Postby 168 Derek S » 15 Oct 2010, 14:13

We had a problem with the old inertia starter motor on the 1256 chevette. models from 1980 onwards were fitted with pre engaged starters.
The conversion is a straight swap mechanically, just some simple wiring to change.
Getting a replacement from the UK is possible but expensive to freight.
Went to BNT and they were no help at all even with me giving them all the various manufacturers starter motor part numbers.
Guy I know suggested I try Wiri Auto Electrical LTD as they seem to specialise in odd stuff.
Kevin at Wiri Auto Electrical came up with the goods
10/10 for these guys, they listend and got back to me a couple of times with some questions then came up with the goods, will be dealing with them again in the future.

their web site is http://www.wiriauto.com/
