Choice!!

Not sure that a Mazda 6 is larger than the current Falcon, but it is a big car. I think that size car is more where people are heading, with a decent build quality and much better spec for your money over the Aussie cars. As we were saying in another thread recently, you don't get much for your money on a car from Australia.

When does the ST arrive? I'd love to see it at a track day if you are interested in that sort of thing? You'd want to run it in and put a few k's on it first no doubt, but the reviews of them on the track looked like a huge amount of fun!

Sales man said it was longer, wider and higher than the falcon and yeah it looked it.
ST arrives on Thursday. The only blue one they had was in Wellington. So another car on a transporter.

Are you looking for something particular in the manual, as I have a service manual but not for sale. Phil in Sydney has a Monza, but unsure if he has a manual.

The manuals are two large ringbinder folders, and very heavy, so cost too much for shipping over for you to have a read

Ran into Kerry (VX220) at the Caffine and Classics show yesterday morning. So there were two Vauxhall / Opels in attendance this month. The show was as good as last month with 100 or so in attendance. A huge variety of machines again this time.

been a bit quiet in the Opel Lounge so thought I would share some pics as a way of explaining why the Manta progress is so slow

full coil over and camber adjustment kit fitted so the Skyline GTR wheels would fit my boys car
Image

then this arrived with an oil leak, so rear crank seal, gearbox input and output shaft seals and a clutch rebuild later we found the wiring loom was having a melt down, the under dash has now been rewired and ready for testing
Image

a welcome visit from Dirk to do some checks, as you can see the shell is still on the spit.

and service the Carlton in between

hoping to get back on with the Manta now.

Haven't visited in a while, hows 2014 treating everyone?
Traded wifeys Primera in on a Calibra a month or so ago... the purpleish ecotec auto one from Trade me with the leaky water pump snapped for $650 couldn't complain.
Getting it fixed soon courtesy of Darren Wood who has ordered the parts from the UK too...
Chevini (my kadett c city rep) is all legal as of xmas eve... few teething problems to work through and a few more things to replacebut pretty hsppy with the old girl.
That's all to report. Will post some pics and get wifey to join up soon to share in the Opel love.
