Vauxhall Astra GSI 16V Mk3 in NZ

Postby 026 Nik » 21 Jul 2010, 09:12

I was looking on Turners website on Saturday and came across a Vauxhall Astra GSI 16V Mk3! The auction date was TBA but its no long on there website site? I got very excited about buying it, the quote price was $1,600-$2,300 and it had only done 59,000 miles! It had a odd spec though, no alloys and no fog lights, then my heart sank, (hence why Im not keeping it a secret) when I carjammed it turned out to be a 1.8 not the 2.0 C20XE engine :( I never knew that you could purchase a Mk3 Astra GSI 16V 1.8, but after a google I can across a few on the UK.

Tough luck.
That 1800 16v is supposed to be a peppy enough and fun to drive unit though, it's the same mill that they dropped into the Corsa / Barina SRi from the mid 90's to early 00's.
