Senator on the Road Again!

Postby 004 Jim » 13 Dec 2009, 08:56

After sitting for several months due to a blown heater hose that my hands were too big to replace my 1991 Senator is back on the road. Thanks to the gardener, who has a Mercedees - and smaller hands than me!

Thought the motor was going to have to be removed to reach the connection on the firewall but it is repaired now.

Took it down to Pleasant Point near Timaru a couple of weekends ago on a shooting trip and returned with some Fallow Deer venison! Sorry I could not visit you, Neville, but we hunted Friday and Saturday ... and you were not home on Sunday.

It just drives so well on the open road - using 98 octane BP fuel it flys!

We were around in the afternoon, Jim, but maybe next time.

Good to hear the Senator is roadworthy again. What were you using in the meantime, and what other cars are roadlegal?

A couple of guys have rung up about my Monza, so I wondered if one of yours might also be for sale....? Still got the Ascona C?

Here's two older pics of Jim's Senator, Sean. He also has a dark blue one that I was considering at one time.
