Toranafest

Huge day coming up this Sunday. Taking my XU-1 Torana to Toranafest at Newcastle. They expect about 250 Toranas from all over the country. The first Torana was a re-badged HB Viva - didn't they evolve!!

This is the commercial they have been running on the TV in the area...........

I was in Newcastle this week on business!
I should have stuck around for the weekend and joined you there.

Loooooooonnnnnnng day. Left a little before 4.30 am, back just after 7.30 pm. 246 Toranas on display, great weather - what more could you ask? I'll put up some pictures within the next few days. :wink:

Hmmm, can't explain about the commercial - seems to work for some & not others. Basically, showed about 6 cars from last year, and mine was one of those.

It was a great day. 246 Toranas, with the furthest having driven 1360 kms. My car made its debut with the new wheels, which are replica race wheels. 7 1/2 " front, 9" rear. Here are a few pictures taken by a fellow attendee..............
