Opel/Vauxhall Forum NZ members have been invited along to Ruapuna for a Track Day by the Canterbury Fiat Lancia Club... details as follows:

Hi all,
Attached are the programme and entry forms for our upcoming Driver Training / Track Day at Powerbuilt Ruapuna raceway on Saturday March 28th.

Please fill in entry form and either return it to me electronically or post with entry fee to our Club PO Box listed.
Entries will be accepted on the day but will incur a penalty fee.
All entries will be signed at registration on the day.
Please read entry form and programme carefully as they have changed somewhat.

Our Track Day is open to anyone with British / European cars. Other makes will be accepted at the discretion of the organisers (me!). Please feel free to circulate the entry forms around your Clubs.

Driver Training Day at Powerbuilt International Raceway, Ruapuna

SATURDAY 28th March 2009
PROGRAMME
8.30 Gates open
9.00 – 10.00 Registration & Scrutineering at the track
10.00- 10.15 Drivers’ and Helpers’ Briefing
10.15 – 12.00 Driver skills and training
12.00 – 12.30 Lunch
12.30-5.00 Full track
5.00pm Track closed.

DRIVER CATEGORY (You can change categories during the day if you feel up to the challenge)
A NOVICE Little previous track experience, no overtaking, drive at your own pace
B INTERMEDIATE Previous experience, non-competition car
C EXPERT Race, or high performance car
Cars will be classed during scrutineering and will run on the track in these groups. Driver tuition will not be undertaken while NOVICE cars are on the track.

Entries will be accepted until 12.00 pm for experienced drivers not wishing to participate in driver skills and training.

Please use a separate entry form for each driver. Make cheques payable to Canterbury Fiat-Lancia Club. A full refund will be given if entry cancelled before the day.

Entry Requirements:
· Cotton overalls or better. (Clean, one-piece with close fitting cuffs & ankles)
· Suitable footwear that must cover the feet.
· Crash helmet (Must be clean and tidy with acceptable standard visible)
· A 0.9kg minimum, fire extinguisher with a steel car-mounting bracket is required to be firmly mounted in all cars. (Fire extinguishers available from ‘Fire Protection’ resellers ie Placemakers, Mitre 10, Wormalds etc)

The Entry Fee is $60 per Driver or $80 if paid on the day (separate form for each driver). This event will be held wet or fine. For Novice, intermediate or expert drivers

If you mean from the Forum, then you're the first who has even shown any interest.

I would have been interested, but other things have cropped up that mean I can't afford to spend the money on this now.

HELLLLOOOOO! ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE??? :?

Id love to but the senator still not on the road as yet but workin my dam hardest to get it on the road so i can turn up to the meetings :oops: :D
