Thanks Paul. Just need to work out now if driving up or flying since my wife wants to use the excuse to visit my daughter in AKL.

Thanks for the plan, Paul. Useful to see.

That sounds great Derek. Would be good to see another Manta on the stand.

I'm checking if some other owners are available to bring their cars along too.

Paul,

At the moment I am planning in bringing my GT up, assuming nothing goes awry in between time.
Can I have some details please.

Hi Steve,

Great to have another car on display. I'm still waiting for tickets for the event but lets assume start and end are as normal:

Lets meet at Wendy's (the burger joint) - 620 Great South Road, Ellerslie at 8.00am. (Wendy's don't open until later, so we can use the carpark).

As soon as we're all there, we'll leave together in convoy.

NB. All cars need to stay until 4pm for safety reasons.

I'll send a confirmation of everything as soon as I have the tickets from the organiser.

Cheers,

Paul

More photos to follow, but here are a couple that I snapped on my iPhone.

We had four cars on display - Astra, Senator, Monza and GT. We were in a line up with the Vauxhall and DTV clubs, so an impressive lineup of Vauxhalls, Opels & Holdens.

A huge thanks to Adrian for helping transport the display boards and to Steve and Neville who made a huge effort to drive up from Tauranga and Timaru for the show.

The GT was a real crowd puller, and the Senator had everyone confused - quote of the day was 'That Senator is a Holden Commodore rebadged for the European market'

Also a few potential members stopped at our display - one with an Astra VXR, another Opel GT and a Vauxhall VXR220. We hope to see them on the display next year!

A good show and the weather was just right - not too hot, and not raining either.

I'm just at Blenheim on way home, and will post up some pics when I can download off my camera.

For next year we are planning to focus on Ellerslie, to get as many cars as we can together for the stand. If there is also interest in GoC then that will be a bonus. We have had some other thoughts on what could be done better too.

Thanks Paul for coordinating, and thanks to Adrian and Steve too.

Looks great guys. Well done for making the effort.

Gosh I'd really like to see the GT in the flesh. It looks fantastic! The other cars are looking good out there too. Don't think I've seen a Senator of that era in NZ.

Hadn't heard back from you, Brad, so wondered what had happened to you over that weekend? You ok? Still watching that Omega wagon for sale in Hamilton? ;)
