Maybe you'll be there next year with your Carlton, Derek? I'll try to be there with mine!

you never know, maybe nearer the time I will have a better idea of whats going on around that time.
seems to be a lot of "steam engines" in the Vauxhall club, turn their noses up a bit at the GM Vauxhall / Opel stuff

Yep, I know what you mean .....that's why it's fun to go and wind them up by parking your VxOpel in front of the Vx displays like I did at Ashburton! ;)

that's awesome Neville, must be the only vauxhall badge estate in NZ. depending on what engine it Is I have a new drivers side rear axle with CV joints that was sent to me in error, it does not fit a 2.0 rear end.
they managed to send the correct passenger side one, which needed replacing so I ordered both sides planning to do both at the same time, silly people never checked before dispatch, I was not impressed especially with the weight and freight costs.

I only saw one Vauxhall at Brits at the Beach this year, I never bothered taking the Carlton as so many people made comments about it not being a British car.
I even got the..."whats a Holden doing here?"

we had a red one back in the late 80's it was a really nice solid and well put together car to drive.
I preferred the hatch to the sedan myself.

It's the 3.0 24V Diamond model, Derek, which was the runout model with all bells and whistles for the last year of production in 1993.

I was trying to track down an Opel Omega A badged wagon in Paraparaumu at one stage, but it seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth, and off NZTA records too, so presumably scrapped - or tucked away in a garage somewhere!
