I can check on the UK forum to see if anyone is breaking a Monza. You want the whole bootlid or just the glass? Just to confirm it was for the 3.0E, not the GSE?

Thanks Neville its the 3.0e not the GSE bringing the GSE to Dunedin, hopefully, its just broken a sway bar drop link,so that will be done next week, then all sweet.
The boy works for a transport company in Blenheim so talking to him, they have links with a CHCH outfit, that bring containers in from Germany, so will see what comes of that,
Derek has given me a site also too try,ive had an email from Frank at Opel spares through Ebay saying he has customers in NZ and maybe get together to get parts, havnt answered him yet,ill check the other options first.Cheers.

Here's a rear glass only from Germany, or is that the same place - Opel Classic Parts? You'll need to persuade them to ship to NZ, or otherwise UK ...... as I have a container due to be loaded shortly in Southampton, but that will still take 6-8 weeks to get over here

I've offered one for free on the ABS (glass hinges and steel buck) - just logistics is the issue

ah probably using the term Perspex is showing my age. Lexan is the correct term :?

I see there is a kit available for the manta, I might need to have a closer look at that, 50% weight saving over glass.

I saw that, thanks Ian. I'll see what quotes I can get for collecting/transporting it down to Eastleigh. Can you PM your postcode/address to me? Are you or someone around home during day for collection?

Unless Lindsay prefers the Lexan/perspex option for $75? Thanks for that Derek! Useful information for the future

50% lighter than glass and a lot less chance of braking while shipping.
Hard coat option on the Manta kit seems the way to go, talking with the guy in the UK now, says 115 quid to send the kit.
Low volume cert required for this conversion, and glass front screen must remain. :(

Derek, I have a few items in UK awaiting loading. If you are needing something shipped over, I can probably find space in the container provided its not a car ;)

Thanks for the offer Neville. I think I am ok for now, but being this is Lindsay's thread maybe something he could take up?
I have family coming over in the new year so will have a laugh at them coming out the airport lugging cases full of car parts once again :D

I'm already working with Lindsay on his tailgate, so just occurred to me you might need some parts too.

Wonder if the seller of this UK Monza would like to donate the tailgate ;)

Looks better without the foam spoiler too ..... in my opinion.
