AutoSpectacular 2014, Dunedin

Postby 001 Neville » 28 Jul 2014, 22:50

Hi, just wondering if we can get enough interest for a stand at this car show in Dunedin on Saturday 13 September? Deadline by 16 August for club applications, so will say let me know by 9 August latest.

Set up is on Friday night 5-8pm plus Saturday from 6.30am - 8am. We can have up to five cars.

The OpelForum members have had a couple of stands in the past with 3-4 cars/members, but not last year.

Any interest?

Me, Monza GSE and/or Commodore B
Ken, Vectra 2000 and/or Calibra
Graeme, Omega B wagon
Lindsay, now not able to come

Ok, looks like I can go ahead and book something already! 8) Not sure what we can do about the "theme - Party Time" :? ... "or have one of our own?"

Any other members are welcome to contact me if you have a car you would be happy to show. Ken and I don't need to bring two cars if others are available. If any other members want to come for a drive on the day (13/9) to see the show, please come and make contact on the stand.

Ok, here's some photos from Dunedin, thanks to Graeme who owns the very nice ex-UK police Omega 3.2V6 wagon, and thanks to Ken who owns the Calibra and the Ezi-up canopy which fitted our banner perfectly 8) My Monza was the only one of my cars actually ready to drive and roadlegal, so will try to get something else ready for the next show .......

Thanks also to Graeme and Gail for your hospitality and the invitation to the Vauxhall night rally on the Saturday night, and the Sunday morning fun run to Kakanui near Oamaru! Good fun! Maybe that's what we need in Christchurch?
