You certainly have plenty of events up there!

Good to see the cars out - must be tricky to decide which to take.....

Looks like a nice day out. Rabbit Island looks interesting - I just looked it up - never heard of it before.

Its in the Tasman district, and is a popular spot with the locals, tourists etc, part of the great bike trail runs through it,and at the far end you can get a ferry across the channel, a 10 min ride, with room for bikes if you have them,to carry on on the bikes, or stop for lunch and some craft beerfrom the brewery, then return too the island,Karen and I walked it prior to xmas about 9k return and have been round on bikes quite a few times, really pleasant place and its about 20min drive from Nelson. :D :D

I was in Nelson over easter and we made a trip out to Rabbit Island. It was very cool.

The day we went out there was particularly gloomy and we stopped for a moment to take a few photos. As we did, we could hear the sound of bagpipes, and as it turned out, there was a bloke playing them off in the distance. The place was very deserted and it was an extremely eerie feeling.
