Other car events on my trip to North Island and back!

Car rally on the Saturday before Ellerslie, a good 120km drive around the coast from Pukekohe on the Bombay Hills, around to St Heliers. These were often cars that were unable to attend the show itself because their club stands were already full! Many lovely cars






















.... and meeting up with two other Monza owners in Hutt area of Wellington, who I had only spoken to on the phone previously! Howard (left) is a member with the second GSE, and John is an ex-GM employee who purchased his series 2 Monza (with velour interior, Irmscher boot spoiler, 14" wheels) from his boss when he left the company. Three red Monzas .... not something you see everyday anywhere in NZ!

LOL, thought you would like that! Yes, it was worth getting the cars together for a proper photoshoot. Not sure how long before we'll get together again, although I have invited both to Ellerslie next year since they are retired. Howard also has a Calibra, but I didn't get much chance to look over that one.

That guys garage looks immaculate, so picking he is fussy with the car.

great shots Neville esp the three Monzas that would be a rare occassion the one with the chrome trim is like my blue one 3.0 I will have the analogue dash and wont have the recaros,plus wheel colour though is probably still 1986 etc mainly cosmetic.
seen the one in Blenheim its good and they change the cars every so often,its the Stewart family, wonder if related to the Stewart collection in CHCH?
got a show over there in March the 9th, plus another Nelson one this weekend,so hoping for more fine weather.

I don't have current figures from NZTA, but was 17 at the beginning of 2013.
