Was away down Wanaka, and took the time for a visit to the Transport Museum while I was there ....... :| Some interesting cars, but what a lot of junk too! Not even any Opels either

Took some pics of the more interesting stuff .....

Then, while travelling through Cromwell, I came across the brand new Highlands Motorsport Park..... what a contrast!

Don't know if anyone else has seen this as it has sprung up in just 12 months, owned by Tony Quinn of VIP Petfoods fame. It's an interesting place, with many interesting cars of different eras, and also ...... a full racing track! I couldn't justify spending out for a quick drive round the course in their Porsche "taxi" but they are open to car clubs for a few laps at a cost. http://www.highlands.co.nz

That's just a small fraction of what the transport museum have stashed away around the place, Lindsay, among planes, toys and numerous old fire engines. I won't bother going back there myself, but may appeal to others.
