OpelForum bank account

Postby 001 Neville » 09 Jul 2013, 19:33

Hi guys

The club has received a cheque for $140.80 from Ellerslie Car Show organisers as our share of the proceeds from the 2013 show. Since it was made out to the OpelForum specifically, I have now opened an account for the OpelForum and I can forward bank details to anyone to wishes to contribute to the club funds to assist us with attending car shows when there may be a charge.

PM me for details, as I think I'll not post them up on this open forum area.

I think the cash should got towards forum upkeep personally. I don't mind paying for the right to enter the odd show.

That would be appreciated, since the site does need an upgrade and I've been holding off doing it.

one other thing I have noticed another club I am a member of have three levels of web membership
I think it goes like this
guest - See the full index but only free to browse limited areas
web member - Pretty much web full access, but a delay to access for sale items
full member - full web access and first look at for sale items posted by anyone

If your looking at options its worth considering, at least to cover the cost of the web site and items for car shows

Thanks for that, Derek and Gordo.

At present, guests to the site can't see all the forums. I think they can see the for sale/wanted threads as I wanted to encourage non-members to post up cars for sale - will check. Since we don't have membership fees, the web member is essentially a full member, but will check on the ability to allow first look at for sale items like OMOC does on their site.
