weather

Postby 249 Dave Mc » 23 Dec 2012, 09:08

Hi all, Just a wee note to hope your weather is a lot better than what we have had here, It's been now constantly raining for ny on 4 days now, flooding all over the place and on the country roads there is mountains of mud coming off the fields and it's beginning to get on our nerves. You can't plan to do anything unless you want to get soaking wet and to make matters worth its freezing too. I saw the wedding pictures of Dereks daughter and the weather looked very nice,Congratulations on concerned and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. :D

Sounds like hell mate.
Were in the middle of a high heat high humidity wave (26DegC and around 80% humidity) with threatened monsoon rains. There's a tropical cyclone headed our way but it's downgraded to a shedload of rain now. Looks like a typical soggy christmas :|

Well it must be garbage all over then as thats me just out of bed on Sunday morning and guess what ? It's raining again,I think next year at this time I shall be away on holiday for Christmas and new year. We went to Egypt a couple of years back at the same time for a fortnights holiday and that may happen again next year, at least you are guaranteed good weather :D

Updated with heavy rain warning - 50-90mm of rain in many areas around Auckland in the 15 hours to noon Monday - peak intensities of 20-30mm/hr from midnight to 6am.
Nothing that unusual, but a bit of a nuisance at this time of year.
