Well, I think that's great response! 8)

If there is likely to be a limit on cars allowed on club stands at Ellerslie, we will need to confirm how just many we are allowed or can stretch to ..... over to you, Paul?

That is a great response everyone!! ... I've checked the fineprint on the entry form, and it states a limit of 6 cars per club .. however more can be arranged with permission from the committee.

I'm going to send a nice email to see what I can do!

After all, Opel has just celebrated 150 years, so I think that is a good justification for a larger stand!

I am planning to do some re-spraying on the Vectra to colour match the bonnet, so it should be in a really nice presentable condition come showtime :D

I think that is referring to the Concours rather than the Classic Car Show (that is why it refers to "competing").

We got in this year so it should be fine.
I'm just wondering if I should enter the Gymkhana at the show next year, I believe it's open to all cars on show, last time there were a bunch of muscle cars sliding about and pleasing the crowd, I'd love to jump into the que with some dodgy $80 tires and just go nuts, might get the crowd to move back a few steps from the barriers

..... not necessarily.....

7. Participating Clubs will be supplied with passes for use by entrants and official helpers.

8. All other Club members will pay normal public admission prices.

... so only the members with cars on the club stand will get the passes. Any other members visiting the show would have to pay, as you would expect.

Also just noticed .....

"Cars less than five years old may only be used subject to the notification of, and approval by, the Organising Committee... "

.... have we got any members cars more recent than 2008? What about the VOSNZ members? Will need to check.

Correct Neville, I should have been clearer .. the event is free if you are exhibiting a car .. otherwise from memory it is about $20 per person to enter.

That's good Steve, I was trying to remember what year your car was. Don't think we have any newer cars, but not 100% sure on VOSNZ cars?
