New Astras arrive in Aus for validation

Postby 001 Neville » 16 May 2012, 19:52

Our first Astras have arrived for their validation work prior to our launch in September. Let us know if you spot any on the roads (hint more likely to be seen in Victoria than the other states)... Thanks Mel

We've still got no date for an NZ launch yet, so you might have to make a trip to Melbourne to be able to spot them

If they're talking September in Aus, then it is going to be next year sometime before they try NZ.

Still no mention of using the classics owned by members in the launch ...... :(

Hope the validation goes to plan in .au, and same follows for NZ, would be all good to promote the brand with some Opel heritage from around here if opportunity arises

Almost fell off my seat when I read this "The first of these engines to emerge is a 1.6-litre SIDI direct injection turbo-petrol unit that produces 147kW of power at 4700rpm and 300Nm of torque from a low 1700rpm". From a 1.6 thatis very hearty!
