Nelson Car Show - 11/12 Feb

Hi all Nelson car show 11th 12th Feb 2012 at the field next to the wearable arts and the new speights ale house,hoping for good weather,been a bit iffy the last few years,they have a burn out comp and maybe a tug of war holden and ford of course the cars can be put there on the Friday if you wish,and they also have security.

Would be good to get some of the other local members + Blenheim and West Coast up there to join in.

It's a bit of a trek from down here, but will see if I can combine with a trip up to North Island for Galaxy of Cars or Ellerslie.....?

With your fleet, you can pretty much take over the whole field anyway!

I've mentioned this show to Kelvin on the West Coast, and he is keen to travel up with his Monza which is now back on the road.

If it wasn't so far between places, and better roads, and no stretch of water between islands, I would be travelling to shows all around the country .... so maybe just as well as it is, for the sake of marital peace!

Your event is the same weekend as Ellerslie. I just need to plan out what I can attend.

I see there are more heavy rain warnings for that area - hope it's not causing the folks too much hassle.

yes its a bummer allright unfortunatly the waters there to stay,roads arent that bad between road works it also clashes with work, too double bummer.A lot of people are better prepared this time,it didnt affect us too bad just a bit of excess water on the drive apart from that all sweet,compared withwhat other people had too put up with real stressful.

Looks like you had a good range of cars there. How many on display? How many were yours?

I rang Kelvin, and he wasn't able to get there as he's so busy with his new tyre/mechanic business on West Coast, but did you get any other OpelForum members along? There was one or two more up there if I recall correctly.

Neville had the two Monzas and the Calibra, mem Andrew had his Datsun 180B there,that was it. Vauxhall members were there,with the two Vivas and the Caleche good turn out of cars and a lot that wern't there last year.
