BritEuro car show in Auckland? 5 March 2017

Postby 001 Neville » 28 Nov 2016, 23:27

I came across details of this car show http://www.briteurocarshow.nz/ that took place for first time on March 6th this year. Free entry to Lloyd Elsmore Park, beside Howick Village which allowed gold coin entry too.

Sounds like it was well received, and may be more appropriate for our club to attend than the Galaxy of Cars? Had no response to GoC, so will delete that from our likely club attendance, since it is weekend after Ellerslie so too soon for any who attend Ellerslie.

What do people think? Is this a more appropriate show for us to attend. I can leave the club banners etc with Paul to run a stand here if enough are interested, but need to know as soon as possible since their deadline is 16 December (!) for booking space.

Reply on here please so we can gauge interest.

Due to a doubling of numbers interested to attend this show, priority has been given to those clubs who attended last year! Paul has negotiated to share a stand with DTV (Dealer Team Vauxhall) so we can still have a presence with our signage at the show.

Can everyone who is planning to go please confirm, as DTV need to know how many cars to expect extra to their own cars. We will also need to meet and travel into the show together, so mobile numbers would be helpful for either Paul or myself to contact if you aren't at the meeting place before we need to leave.

If we don't hear back, you won't get a ticket or a space on the stand and will need to park in the main carpark with visitors.

I would also like to get details of the cars to be on display so I can produce window sheets. This seems to be what keeps the interest of those browsing on car stands at shows. It also looks more professional for the stand as a whole.

We will have a gazebo this year for some shelter, so bring a seat for yourself!

Yes, I think the feeling was that these are more everyday cars (apart from the Ferraris) and not too many trailer queens like you get at Ellerslie.

Will review for next year

Hi all,it became a nice day after drizzle for which I brought my shammy,I think there was the most Jags and maybe Mercedes I've seen at any show,I look forward to next years shows,I really hope there's more interest for Ellerslie next year,I went, parked my monza in specialist vehicles park, was another great show including 6-8 large/beautiful packards-convertables etc I'd not seen before,I'm off to the UK via Melbourne(to meet up and travell with Stan who had the orange manta-a from S Africa) for six weeks in 3 weeks-going on a tour etccheers for now.
