Still lurking, however sans Opel - sold in September. I'll try and get by for look about and a hello though.

That's easy, Jon!

Derek is selling his very nice Omega A, or there is a Monza GSE for sale in Napier area?

Really? Never heard of that, so will have to make a diversion past next time I'm in the area. You'll be pleased anyway. I don't imagine the tradein value would be that great.

Manta is coming along nicely. Have you set yourself a deadline to complete it? Any car show?

$3k for it and its gone, put a lot into that one to get it back up to spec, it was fun and I am pleased its gone to a good place. thankfully I have good dealings with a local car dealer in Pukekohe, he was able to help out, motivated mainly by the family buying two brand new cars this week. (neither off them Holden / Opel based)

Even if members do not have cars you want to display, you're welcome to come and visit us on the stand at Ellerslie. Would be good to put more faces to club member names.

Bring a hat and sunscreen, as there is no shade if it's hot!

Ok, well I'm home again, and now got time to put up some pics from the show.

We did well on the stand with six club cars, and an Astra convertible from a Vauxhall Club member. Was a good range of cars covering from Jan's two pre-war 1930s Opels through to Paul's new model Holden Astra, each of which appealed to people of different ages walking past. Thanks to members who brought their cars, and those members who visited the stand too - always good to put a face to a name.

It was also considered that members may be more comfortable to use FaceBook and whether that was worth pursuing. I will look into a group Facebook page, and see how well that does, since the Forum website has been quiet for a while. I understand from other clubs that this is a common issue for clubs around the world - there are not so many enthusiasts out there who are prepared to contribute to discussions and attend shows!

Well, they're the important ones anyway ;)

Lots of interest from people walking past. I bet there are no pics of them in the next NZCC, as their photographer walked past and was taking pics of a Humber on a stand nearby, but never saw him even look at our stand! :x Will be interesting to see! If nothing, then will get everyone to write and tell them about their tunnel vision on "classic cars"!

More pics from the motor museum on the Kapiti Coast. They finally have a few newer cars on show as the other older cars don't appeal to all. Was not greatly impressed to be honest, and not worth the entrance fee :(

Even specifically asked if they had any Opels arrive, and was told yes, but there was none there so they must be desperate to get people through the doors!

To finish, looked in on member Howard in Upper Hutt to see his Calibra and Monza GSE
