AutoSpectacular 2015, Dunedin

Hi, have just heard the next Dunedin event is 12 September. At the Edgar Centre as usual. I've asked for space for up to 5 cars, but could maybe stretch that if sufficient interest?

Anyone?

Pics from the AutoSpectacular on Saturday. Good showing of cars, marred only by mediocre food as usual, and long queues for coffee after one of the machines broke down - again!

Thanks to Ken for his gazebo and assistance in setting up the stand and his Calibra, to Graeme and Gail for their Omega B wagon, and to my mate Ross who drove down my Senator while I drove the Manta.

Yes, the Manta surprised me with the way it sailed up the Kilmog in 4th, but got through a bit of fuel! Ross in the Senator was having to hold back a bit on the flat, but he was surprised by my progress on the hills.

The Manta needs a bit of tuning, as it was not smooth at low speeds. When we were hitting every red light through Dunedin, it did stall a couple of times.

Senator went well, and Ross is used to a Commodore VT so was very complimentary. Controls on opposite side for indicators/wipers which caught him out!

Yes, it is, Brad. Bought off my friend Alf, in UK. He did a great job on it, and hopes to come over next year for a holiday to catch up.

The stand looks good, and the gazebo makes the difference, so might have to splash out on one for the Ellerslie show ...... maybe! We get some money back from attending the Ellerslie show each year, but that covers about a third of the cost so far. Will see what I can find anyway.
