I went to a great car show on sunday and thought the rest of the Auckland based members would be keen to join me next time. Caffeine and Classics is held on the last sunday of every month at Smales farm in Northcote, Auckland. Coming from the CBD, take the Northcote exit once over the harbour bridge, turn right at the off ramp and it's the first road on the left, you can't miss it! It starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm. Subway and Columbus cafe are a 2min walk across the park, perfect for breakfast! There was everything from Porches to hot rods to one lone Opel
Here are some pics from sunday:

Wow there's some quality looking cars in there!

No offence, but in that line up the Vectra looks very out of place

Ha! I know, that's why I stuck it in there!
To be honest though, the Vectra got a surprising amount of attention and I overheard some quite flattering comments, mainly concerning the motor presentation. I was not expecting any more than a few mean glares and grumblings from the muscle car guys.

Good idea Chad, I'm in for this month. I need an excuse to use the car more.

It was a great morning at caffine and classics yesterday. The turnout was good considering how busy the automotive calendar was this week. Again I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of keen attention that the Opel got, I had to polish the cam cover afterwards due to all the sticky nose prints.
