Welcome Jan

You may not find too many pre-war Opels on here, but I know there was an Opel Blitz truck in the North Island.... I've got the details somewhere. Also a '67 Rekord B up around Whangaparoa (spelling?) somewhere.

Hi Jan,
Welcome! We all have Opel in the veins, but many of us have not seen an Opel that pre dates the 70's. Would be very interested in learning more about your family fleet.

Late reply I know
It appears during the early 1930s 4 Opel 6s were brought in to the UK as a rolling chassis they used to be made into Hearses or Ambulances (I think they remained unsold for a number of years the conversions just prior to the war) - It not known whether any surive although I am sure i seen reference for one that came up for sale in 1990s less body work - I would say the others if they surived were long gone destoyed in the 'UK Battlefields' of the ghasty banger racers! From Memory one of these was an earlier 1931 Opel Six
