Years ago when i was working on a mates parents vinyard in Renwick Blenheim which is literally only 300 metres from BASIS Renwick and 2 great pubs!- I saw regularly 'The Brown Bullet" this was nickname given by locals to a original brown metallic with black vinyl roof Opel GS Coupe 1970 Auto that was professionally fitted with a 253V8 Holden engine (the car is sister car to the 4 door GS up North for sale and also recently featured in photo by NZ Classic Car or was it Classic Driver)

I made contact with the then owner who was a flight Commander of local Blenheim Airforce who had been made recently reduntant as he flew skyhawks and was moving to fly jets for the Australian Airforce - He hoped to take the car with him - He brought the car around to the Vinyard one day and I have photos somewhere in my collection it too had G plates like that 4 door and was RHD - it may have been ex UK new . He himself had not put in the 253V8 installation and i understood from him the 2.5 engine was still in his poesssion.

Years later I heard he had sold the car - the 253 engine had been removed and sold seperately and car was in the hands of a Blenheim wrecker

Again several years later I was under the impression that the car was rescued its original 2.5 litre 6 cylinder re-built and was owned by someone who is on this board - Has it been rebuilt and who owns it now?

The car is in storage, mid-restoration, as the owner has moved to Aus. The 6 cylinder engine had rusted solid, and was crushed. I don't remember now what engine the (lady) owner had planned for the car.

I would be interested to see those pics, Adrian, if you could please email them to me, or post up here?

Thanks
