As much as we all wish it wasn't the case, we don't always break even on our cars either. Would it not be better to let the cars go to a good home for what you can get for them rather than destroying them for everyone?
I can't put myself in your position, because I simply haven't experienced the hardship that you lot have down there over the last couple of years, but I do feel for you and your situation.
