Vectra A's have both torsion beam and IRS, but I think the beam may possibly be wider than the Astra, so be careful here.

I might be able to help with some standard struts or something, but I think the lower arms are different, possibly the balljoints too?

cool, basically my running gear is a full 20xe setup so standard gt2000 arm, drive shafts and strut will do.do you have any rear solid axel?

You can pick up wishbones for around $40 from the UK, but last time I checked it's cost another $160 or so for freight, etc.
What year was yours, PickaPart often have them in stock - you may be able to use your strut insert for it - http://www.pickapart.co.nz/stock.asp

No sorry, only a spare IRS setup but as Gordo mentions above, the run of the mill 8v Vectras used the beam rear and I don't think I've been to pick-a-part without at least one of those sitting there.

vectra A rear beam should fit the astra, i fitted a vectra A disc beam to my mk 2 astra or kadett g (i think they were called here??) a few yrs ago and have the same beam sitting in the workshop ready to go on my astra f.
may have an astra f drum beams going spare but im guessing you'd prefer the disc option??

Thanks,my car is now back on the road, however i do need to set it up on a chassis machine to pull the rear subframe across by 15mm.Got to admit its not bad damage after putting the car sideways into a curb at 145km........Damaged parts were x3 broken wheels, bent rear axle, bent front lower arm, bent front hub, crushed cv,bent rear disc and x1 broken side skirt. No damage to body apart from rear axle hangers. All the above happened on the day that the car actually ran well after new exhaust system and a wee tune.I want to get it on a dyno.My guess is that it is around 200-230 kw because of loss of traction in 3rd gear in dry conditions.

You're bonkers, Sid
However, I trust that was on a closed road/racetrack under supervision...

Re a dyno day, Eurosport are talking about having one sometime - but it may be a few weeks/months (years? ) away. They're usually $80-100 for two pulls.
